Make omuo your default browser

Open omuo's Settings and tap Make omuo Your Default Browser, or go to iOS Settings › Apps › Default Apps › Browser App and choose omuo.

Bring your bookmarks from another browser

From Safari on iPhone: Settings › Apps › Safari › Export, and save the file to Files. From a computer: export your bookmarks as an HTML file from any browser's bookmarks manager and put it in iCloud Drive. Then in omuo, go to Settings › Import from Another Browser and choose the file.

Lock omuo or incognito with Face ID

Settings › Lock & Data. Locking incognito never shows whether there are any incognito tabs.

A site looks broken

Pull up on the address bar for Site Settings, where you can turn the shields off for that site, ask for the desktop version, or turn JavaScript back on.

Summarize a page

Pinch the page with two fingers. The summary is written on your iPhone.

Widgets and Control Center

Long-press your Home Screen, tap Edit › Add Widget, and search for omuo. The Incognito Tab control is in Control Center's controls gallery.

Spaces and tab groups

In the tab switcher, tap the space's name at the top to switch spaces or make a new one. Each space has its own tabs, colour and logins. Long-press a tab to move it to a group or another space. To switch spaces with a Focus, go to iOS Settings › Focus, choose a Focus, and add omuo under Focus Filters.

The command bar

In search, type > and a few letters of what you want: ">pdf", ">clear site", ">work". Press Go to run the first match.

Ask a page, preview a link

Menu › Page Tools › Ask asks questions about the page you're on (needs Apple Intelligence). Long-press any link for a summary of what's behind it; tap the summary to open it.

Boost a site

Menu › Page Tools › Boost. Turn on ready-made changes like Force Dark or Hide Shorts, or add your own CSS or script for that site.

Peek

Links from other apps open in Peek, over omuo. Tap Keep as Tab to keep the page, or close it and it's gone. Prefer plain tabs? Settings › Tabs › Open Links in Peek.

Reading List, screenshots and PDFs

Menu › Page Tools: Offline saves the whole page to your Reading List to read without a connection. Screenshot captures the whole page top to bottom, and PDF makes a PDF of it, both ready to save or share.

Add a site to your Home Screen

Menu › Page Tools › Home Screen, then Add to Home Screen in the share sheet. This works once omuo can be your default browser.

Siri, Shortcuts and the share sheet

Say "Search omuo" or "Open incognito in omuo". omuo's actions are in the Shortcuts app for your own shortcuts and the Action button. From any app's share sheet, choose omuo to open a link in omuo or incognito, or to summarize it.

iCloud Sync

Settings › iCloud Sync. Your bookmarks, pinned sites, spaces and boosts stay the same on every device signed in to your iCloud, encrypted end to end. If a new device says it's waiting for your sync key, give iCloud Keychain a few minutes to bring it over.

Privacy report

Menu › Page Tools › Report shows the trackers stopped on the page you're on and over the last week.

Delete everything

Settings › Burn Everything clears every tab, all history and site data at once. Deleting the app removes everything too.
